Tokoname ware, which is said to have the oldest history among the six ancient kilns, spread to the Chita Peninsula from the end of the Heian period around 1100. In the latter half of the Edo period, sencha became popular, and the production of teapots became popular. The pottery "Jinsui" in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture produces tools that are close to modern life while inheriting good quality clay and skillful techniques.
