Kyōsashimono Champagne Cooler Shizuku
Sashimono is a traditional woodworking technique that joins pieces of wood without using nails or other fastening tools.Shuji Nakagawa, the third-generation craftsman of Nakagawa Mokko Gei, created this champagne cooler using techniques passed down for 700years, combined with his own original ideas. Its modern shape, which breaks with conventional expectations, and sharp rim are particularly appealing. The material is Owari cypress, carefully managed as part of the Tokugawa Owari family's official forest. Among this cypress, only wood from trees over 200 years old is carefully selected for use. It can chill one full-size bottle.
※Due to the shape of its sides, burn-mark branding is not available for shizuku.
※To reduce the effects of wood shrinkage and aging, the interior may be treated with a glass coating. In that case, the texture and appearance of the inside and outside will differ slightly.
※As natural wood is used, the grain differs from piece to piece.
