Original tea caddy, shippo pattern, lucky cat, 100 g copper

Kaikado × TOMO

This tea caddy features a shippō pattern, an auspicious design symbolizing wishes for marital harmony, balance, and auspicious connections, along with a beckoning cat on the inner lid knob to invite good fortune.

Founded in 1875 (Meiji 8), Kaikado is the oldest workshop among existing tea caddy manufacturers. Even today, all of its more than 130 processes are carried out by hand. Thanks to the precision of its craftsmanship and the high airtightness provided by its double-layer construction, this tea caddy can be used not only for tea leaves but also for a variety of other purposes. It is left unpainted to showcase the natural surface, and the texture and luster deepen with use, allowing you to enjoy its changing color over time.
